Let's make this more interactive. Does anyone have interesting stories from Friday the 13th to pass on? (I'm exempt; it's Tuesdays that fall on the 13th that count here, not Fridays)

The kids were asking me how the idea of "Friday the 13th" as an unlucky day came to be.
I said, "Go look it up on Google!"
(This generation is SOOOooo lazy)

Kendra, so you're saying it was unlucky that you got to drive that much? Did Mommy let you you drive all the way to Cedar Rapids?

Actually, no. I guess I didn't realize that I was supposed to share something unlucky. That aside, the driving was fun, and yes, Mommy allowed me to continue all the way to Ardith's house. :)
